Strong editing and design will strengthen any project.
Before leaving New York City for the warmer shores of California, I was Editor-in-Chief of Flatiron Magazine. Having started my publishing career at Playboy Magazine, I have freelanced or worked for just about every type of publication.
I have spent the last few years as the Publications Coordinator for the Deputy Sheriffs Association of San Diego County, including publishing their official monthly magazine and maintaining the website.
As a freelance writer and editor (now based in Seattle), I have written a variety of consumer articles from music reviews to legal updates and consulted for several non-profits, creating or revamping their magazines and newsletters.
Music, food, travel and film are a few of my favorite topics to write about. Anything pop culture entertains me, and that enthusiasm comes across in my articles on film, celebrities, and culture in general. I have a knack for legal, legislative and law enforcement articles, and enjoy extensive research, both online and off.
Beyond editing and writing, I also have extensive knowledge in layout, desktop publishing, and design. Add extensive experience with sql, html, css, cms, seo, and all of the other fancy acronyms that basically mean I can build a website. I also know several programming languages that I use very little these days.
When not busy editing or writing, I like to spend time with my dog Chewie, who runs his own clothing line, The Pug Life® and is working on a line of toys.
